01The tension

You sound like the preachers you admire.

  • You can hear other voices in your sermons and are not sure where yours is.
  • You can't tell whether a sermon was good or just loud.
  • You don't know what stage of development you are in, or what comes next.
02What you'll learn

Five things you'll take back to the pulpit.

  1. 01The stages of a preacher's development, from beginner to master
  2. 02How to tell imitation from influence
  3. 03Finding the register your congregation actually hears
  4. 04Using your story without making the sermon about you
  5. 05A practice for reviewing your own preaching honestly
03Every session

Nine sessions, in the order you'll watch them.

Short, direct sessions with Jon Tyson, plus the Studio guide to work through alongside. Watch in order or jump to the one you need this week.

04Meet your guide

Jon Tyson

Lead Pastor, Church of the City New York

Jon has pastored and preached in New York City since 2005 and co-hosts the Art of Teaching podcast. He teaches the Sermon Prep & Delivery System inside Foundations.

04 · What changes when you do this

You stop borrowing a voice and start trusting your own. The sermons get shorter and land harder, because you are no longer performing someone else.

This is for you if
  • ✓You have preached for a few years and feel stuck at the same level.
  • ✓You have the Foundations framework and want to grow in delivery.
  • ✓You want honest tools for evaluating your own sermons.
This isn't for you if
  • You are preaching for the first time this year. Start with Foundations.
  • You want delivery tricks rather than a longer view of development.
